Scotland’s oldest registered housing co-operative migrate to HomeMaster
Published Date: 10th March 2020
Lister Housing Co-operative is a city centre housing co-operative dedicated to providing good quality homes in our historic environment, right in the heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh. During 2019 the management committee acknowledged that the systems in situ were not fit for purpose to provide tenants and contractors with the option to communicate digitally by default.
Alistair Cant, Director at Lister explained
“Whilst undertaking due diligence on a number of solutions in the market we were recommended by another Housing Provider to look at the HomeMaster offering. It was clear from the start that the team at Designer Software had a significant amount of experience in the Social Housing Sector and the product met all our objectives. The option for tenants to self-serve 24/7 and for Lister to automatically keep tenants updated via electronic methods such as email and SMS will enable our team to spend more time with our tenants to continue and deliver the best possible customer service. We decided to implement the Finance modules as well as Housing Management & Repairs which will give us the ability to produce our future ARC reporting at any time with only a couple of mouse clicks from one solution.”
Craig Brock, Designer Software Chief Operating Officer added
“Holyrood recently launched a report that identified the need for more co-ops in Scotland. The relationship with Lister Housing Co-op is a good opportunity to showcase HomeMaster to any current and future co-operatives. Our product specialists have commenced end user training and configuration. Lister will be running in a live running by May 2020.”
